OUR YOGA CLASS SCHEDULES IN MADRID In Alcorcón and Chapinería.

Ayurvedic Medicine is a holistic system of health originating in India, based on the balance between body, mind, and spirit. With thousands of years of history, Ayurveda promotes harmony between the individual and their environment, recognizing that each person is unique and has specific health needs.

In Ayurvedic Medicine, medicinal herbs, breathing techniques, meditation, massage, and lifestyle changes are used to prevent disease and promote overall well-being. This approach focuses on identifying and treating the root cause of imbalances rather than simply alleviating symptoms.

The principles of Ayurveda are based on three doshas or biological energies: Vata (air and ether), Pitta (fire and water), and Kapha (water and earth). Each person has a unique combination of doshas that determines their physical and mental constitution. More important than merely understanding your prakriti (nature) is learning to recognize the nature of your imbalance, known in Sanskrit as vikruti.

Diet, daily habits, and the environment we live in influence our emotional state, physical body, mind, and level of consciousness. Once we understand the map that leads us to integral health, we must begin to follow it. This is not an immediate achievement but a process that requires self-observation and reflection on how changes in habits affect our lives.

A discipline to improve our daily life

It’s no secret that Yoga brings numerous health benefits, both physical and mental. Among these beneficial effects, we can mention stress reduction, improved breathing, better sleep, and increased concentration.

Yoga helps combat anxiety, back pain, and depression. The physical and emotional improvements from practicing this discipline are considerable. However, if we decide to attend Yoga classes in Madrid, it’s important to go to a specialized center where professionals knowledgeable in the field teach, and who have immersed themselves in the idiosyncrasies of the country that gave birth to this practice: India.

Yoga teachers must possess certain qualities for their students to get the most out of their teachings. Firstly, every good teacher must feel a deep love and respect for the discipline they impart. They should also dedicate specific time to prepare each class and another time for their personal practice.

It’s also important to consider that the Yoga professional must be aware of the limits of this practice. Like any traditional art, Yoga can also cause injuries among students who are not adequately prepared for certain stretches and complicated postures. A good teacher must be aware of these limits and focus their classes on a progressive evolution in exercises, allowing students to progress safely.

In our center, we offer numerous workshops and retreats, as well as training courses, that will allow a deeper understanding of this discipline for both teachers and beginners.
