Adavanced Yoga Teacher Training 108

Yacep, Continuing Education Provider by Yoga Alliance.

Advanced Training 108 | Iyengar Yoga, Hatha Yoga, and Classical Tantra Yoga.

Training Module that completes the 300h Advanced Training at Matrika Yoga School.

  • July 31st to August 9th, 2024 – At Casa Rural El Pagano in Sierra de Gredos.

Taught by Pablo Ferrero, with collaboration from Carmen Ananda Jyoti, Martha Tena, and assistant teachers throughout the training.

Welcome to your advanced yoga training 108, where you will explore the depths of three distinct approaches: Iyengar Yoga, traditional Hatha Yoga, and Tantra Yoga with a special emphasis on Kashmir Shaivism. During the training, we will also place particular emphasis on Vinyasa Krama. This experience, in addition to deepening your asana practice, will guide you beyond physical postures, leading you on a journey of self-discovery and inner transformation. To participate in this training, it is recommended to be a Yoga teacher with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Iyengar Yoga: Precision in Posture

We will begin our exploration with Iyengar Yoga, an approach that focuses on precise alignment and meticulous attention to every detail in each posture. Through the use of props and mindful observation, you will learn to adjust and perfect each asana, taking your practice to an unparalleled level of refinement. You will discover the intimate connection between the mind, body, and breath, creating a solid foundation for your journey as both a Yoga student and a teaching methodology.

Hatha Yoga: Union of Opposing Energies

Hatha Yoga, the yoga of strength and unity, will be our next pillar. Here, we will immerse ourselves in the synthesis of opposing energies: sun and moon, masculine and feminine, strength and flexibility. Through balanced sequences and the practice of pranayama, you will experience the complete integration of your being. You will discover how to maintain serenity in action and stillness in movement, cultivating a deep connection with your essence.

Tantra Yoga: Expansion of Consciousness

Finally, we will venture into Tantra Yoga, a path that goes beyond conventional constraints. Tantra is about expanding consciousness through total self-acceptance and connection with others. You will learn to integrate spirituality into your daily life, transforming your physical and mental practices into sacred expressions. Tantra invites you to live fully, celebrating divinity within and around you.

Vinyasa Krama is a dynamic and progressive approach.

It focuses on the sequence and logical progression of postures. The word ‘Vinyasa’ is commonly translated as the ‘conscious placement’ of movements and breath, and ‘Krama’ means ‘sequence’. Together, Vinyasa Krama refers to the practice of carefully coordinating movement with breath in a specific and progressive sequence.

As you progress in this training, we encourage you to embrace the diversity of these approaches, finding harmony between the rigorous discipline of Iyengar, the balanced synthesis of Hatha, and the liberating expansion of Tantra. May this journey lead you to discover new dimensions of yourself and inspire you to share the light of yoga with the world around you. Namaste!
