DECEMBER LONG WEEKEND RETREAT
Iyengar Yoga and Classical Tantra Yoga
112 Vigyana Bhairava Tantra Meditations
with Pablo Ferrero in Sierra de Gredos
The essence of the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra: the direct path to the awareness of the Self
Taught by Pablo Ferrero. Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher through RIMYI, Pune, India. Diploma in Yogic Studies from the Bihar School of Yoga (Satyananda Tradition), India. Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Osteopath. Student of Ayurvedic Medicine, Kashmir Shaivism and Tibetan Buddhism.
In this retreat you will immerse yourself in a transformative experience where we will explore the integration of Iyengar Yoga, Hatha-Kriya Yoga and Tantra Yoga, from a deep and contemplative perspective. Through practice, meditation and study, we will delve into one of the most sublime texts of Kashmir Tantrism: the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra.
This text, belonging to the tradition of non-dual Tantra or Trika Shaivism of Kashmir, is a philosophical and practical gem that reveals 112 meditation methods (dharanas) for recognizing Supreme Consciousness (Bhairava) in every instant of existence. Unlike other spiritual paths that seek liberation through asceticism or renunciation, the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra invites us to recognize the divine in the everyday, in every breath, in every sensation and in the silent space that underlies every movement of the mind.
During the retreat, we will approach this text from an experiential perspective, uniting the precision and alignment of Iyengar Yoga, the purifying energy of Hatha and Kriya Yoga, and the meditative and ritual dimension of Tantra Yoga, to experience the essential teaching of classical tantra:
“The consciousness that pervades all experience is itself the absolute.”
The practice of Silence during the mornings will be an essential part of the retreat. This conscious silence (mouna) allows us to observe the fluctuations of the mind and connect with the Madhya, the central space of the heart, where intuitive knowledge emerges naturally.
Every human being longs for fullness, health and inner freedom. To attain them, the path does not lie in blind belief, but in direct experience. Yoga and meditation, in dialogue with the principles of Kashmir Shaivism, offer a solid foundation for understanding ourselves and living in harmony with our essential nature (Swastha) from a place of joy, presence and meaning.

About Sierra de Gredos
The Sierra de Gredos is one of the most beautiful and wild natural landscapes in the center of the Iberian Peninsula. Its granite mountains, rivers and crystal-clear gorges create an environment of deep serenity. Forests of oak, chestnut, pine and holm oak trees mix with meadows where goats and deer graze.
The pure air and silence invite you to breathe calmly and reconnect with the rhythm of nature. Its clear skies allow you to gaze at the stars with breathtaking clarity. In spring and autumn, the colors of the landscape transform into a living display of light and hues. The mountain climate, though temperate, offers coolness in summer and quiet stillness in winter.
The trails that wind through its valleys and peaks lead to viewpoints, lagoons and charming villages. The energy of Gredos invites you to pause, to listen and to inhabit the present moment. It is a place where nature becomes a teacher and the soul finds rest.
