Yoga & Meditation Retreat – March 2026
The Essence of the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra:
The Direct Path to the Awareness of the Self**
In this retreat, you will immerse yourself in a transformative experience in which we will explore the integration of Iyengar Yoga, Hatha–Kriya Yoga, and Tantra Yoga, approached from a deep and contemplative perspective. Through practice, meditation, and study, we will delve into one of the most sublime texts of Kashmiri Tantrism: the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra.
This text, belonging to the tradition of non-dual Tantra or Trika Shaivism of Kashmir, is a philosophical and practical jewel that reveals 112 meditation methods (dhāraṇās) for the recognition of Supreme Consciousness (Bhairava) in every moment of existence. Unlike other spiritual paths that seek liberation through asceticism or renunciation, the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra invites us to recognize the divine in everyday life—within each breath, each sensation, and in the silent space that underlies every movement of the mind.
Throughout the retreat, we will approach this text from an experiential perspective, uniting the precision and alignment of Iyengar Yoga, the purifying energy of Hatha and Kriya Yoga, and the meditative and ritual dimension of Tantra Yoga, in order to embody the essential teaching of classical Tantra:
“The consciousness that permeates all experience is itself the Absolute.”
The practice of Silence during the mornings will be an essential part of the retreat. This conscious silence (mouna) allows us to observe mental fluctuations and connect with Madhya, the central space of the heart, where intuitive knowledge naturally arises.
Every human being longs for wholeness, health, and inner freedom. To attain them, the path does not lie in blind belief, but in direct experience. Yoga and meditation, in dialogue with the principles of Kashmir Shaivism, offer a solid foundation for self-understanding and for living in coherence with our essential nature (Swastha), rooted in joy, presence, and meaning.
