Yoga and Ayurveda Retreat in Easter Week 2027 in Sierra de Gredos

  • Full Easter Week 6 nights/7 days: 22 to 28 March 2027
  • 3-night Retreat: 25 to 28 March 2027
  • Location: El Pagano in Sierra de Gredos, Tiétar Valley (between Arenas de San Pedro and Candeleda)
  • Led by: Pablo Ferrero, Director of Matrika Yoga School, together with the therapeutic team

Experience a different kind of Easter Week surrounded by nature with this Yoga and Ayurveda retreat in Sierra de Gredos, designed to deepen physical, mental and emotional well-being.

During this retreat, you will immerse yourself in a transformative experience that combines:

  • Deep Yoga practice
  • Meditation and pranayama
  • Yogic psychology
  • Ayurvedic habits and nutrition

We will integrate different approaches such as Iyengar Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Tantra Yoga and Ayurvedic Medicine, creating a space for learning and personal transformation.

Yoga, Ayurveda and self-knowledge

Everyone seeks health, balance and happiness. However, true well-being requires understanding, practice and consistency.

Yoga and Ayurveda offer a clear path toward self-knowledge and deep healing, helping us to:

  • Understand our physical and emotional patterns
  • Reconnect with our essential nature
  • Create habits that promote overall health

In Ayurveda, the concept of Swastha means "being established in oneself." Disease arises when we move away from our inner balance.

Through this retreat, you will learn to design your own sadhana (daily practice) to live with:

  • Real Health
  • More clarity
  • Purpose
  • Energy
  • Well-being
  • Preventing illness
  • Learning to heal latent conditions with a step-by-step method.
  • Knowledge of one's own nature.

Important note

This retreat is not a Panchakarma program, but rather an educational and formative space. During the retreat, students will receive tools and content of great value aimed at promoting a conscious, sincere and purposeful personal healing process.

People with chronic conditions may take part in the retreat; however, it is important to keep in mind that the program's approach is preventive and supportive, aimed at improving overall condition, and does not replace specific therapeutic treatment.

Benefits

Which benefits will you find?

Deepening Yoga Practice and Pranic Healing

Immerse yourself in an experience that integrates Iyengar Yoga and Hatha Yoga with the energetic practices of Kriya-Tantra Yoga. This retreat invites you to explore the subtlest levels of consciousness and reconnect with your vital energy through mindfulness, conscious movement and deep breathing.

Physical Well-being and Vitality

Through a consistent practice of asanas, pranayamas and meditation, you will be able to strengthen your body, revitalize your internal systems and reconnect with the feeling of being alive and in balance. Contemporary neuroscience supports these changes: the body in conscious movement becomes the perfect laboratory for retraining the nervous system and creating space for holistic well-being.

Mental Health and Emotional Regulation

Numerous studies confirm that more than 80% of yoga and meditation practices contribute significantly to mental health. This retreat is designed to help you regulate stress, prevent burnout and develop a more resilient, calmer mind. You will learn strategies inspired by the neuroscience of mindfulness to strengthen your capacity for focus, self-compassion and presence.

Community and Human Connection

Share experiences, learning and growth within a community that values mutual support and authenticity. Every encounter becomes an opportunity to learn from one another, build genuine bonds and open up to the collective wisdom of the group.

Nature as Teacher and Medicine

The natural setting will be an essential part of your process of transformation. You will learn to listen to the rhythms of the Earth, connect with the elements and open yourself to a healing relationship with the sun, the sky and the four cardinal directions. Nature will guide you back to balance and help you remember your true essence.

Psychospiritual Development and Expansion of Consciousness

From the perspective of Tantra and Pranic Healing, you will explore vital energy, or kundalini, as a vehicle for inner expansion. These practices will allow you to access elevated states of perception and alignment between body, mind and spirit.

Personal Growth and Real Transformation

This space is created so that each participant can undergo a genuine process of self-discovery. Through introspective dynamics and integrative practices, you will be able to release emotional blocks, awaken inner potential and experience a lasting transformation that impacts your daily life.

The Location

Yoga Retreats in Sierra de Gredos · El Pagano Country House

Since 2015, we have been organizing Yoga retreats in the picturesque Sierra de Gredos, with this particular event taking place at the welcoming Casa Rural El Pagano. This rural retreat was designed to immerse travelers in a natural setting perfect for observing birds, mammals and a varied flora.

Guided by an exceptional team of people, made up of Manuel, Paqui, Scot, and the whole team of cooks and volunteers who, after many years, have become a family to Matrika Yoga School.

In our retreats, we take pride in offering a fully vegetarian diet, with experience catering to various intolerances and allergies, such as gluten and veganism, among others.

The rooms, all with outdoor views, offer an exceptional level of comfort. We provide accommodation in shared rooms for 2-3 people, with a very limited number of spots for individual accommodation.

ABOUT THE FOOD DURING THE RETREAT

Vegetarian food. We accommodate allergies, intolerances and veganism if notified in advance through the registration forms, or at least 48 hours before the retreat begins. Our meals will follow a tridoshic diet that balances the three doshas. This retreat is not a Panchakarma retreat. People with chronic conditions will benefit considerably and will see improvements.
