Ecstatic Dance represents an approach to free, expressive dance that prioritizes connection with oneself and with others through authentic movement. Unlike conventional dance classes, Ecstatic Dance doesn’t follow predefined steps or specific choreography. Instead, participants are encouraged to explore and express their bodies spontaneously.
An Ecstatic Dance session isn’t just pure fun—though it’s that too. It’s a deep practice of honesty with oneself, releasing tensions and blockages in the body and mind.
Music plays a fundamental role in these sessions, spanning a wide range of genres and rhythms—from tribal to electronic and world music. DJs carefully curate a diverse mix to facilitate free expression and movement.
At Ecstatic Dance Madrid Sur, founded by Pablo Ferrero, a passionate Yoga teacher trained in Iyengar Yoga, Hatha Yoga, and Tantra Yoga, as well as a practitioner of Buddhism and Shivaite Tantra, the Ecstatic experiences are always guided by a preliminary bodywork dynamic that includes movement, breath, and meditation. Ecstatic Dance sessions cost 25 euros. Some special sessions have a different price. Click on each event to confirm the investment.
