Yoga, Meditative Arts and Kashmir Shaivism
In Sierra de Gredos

August 10th to 15th 2021

About the Retreats?

  • From August 10th to 15th
  • In Hospedería del Silencio in the Mountains of Sierra de Gredos, Spain.
  • With Pablo Ferrero. Collaborates Álvaro Semilla and Diana Santos Cid

One of the jewels that yoga offers us is to open our gaze to the beauty of life.

Through the organic practice of Iyengar Yoga, Hatha, Vinyasa Krama and the meditative arts, we delve into the mysteries of the body and mind.

We enjoy the art of breathing, through powerful breathing patterns and pranayamas. We explore the meditative gaze in stillness and movement, integrating traditional practices with free movement, sound vibration and various spiritual dances.

We are accompanied by traditional Indian tales and myths, and the non-dual philosophy of Kashmir Tantrism. This creates a halo of acceptance and embrace of all that we are.

The space of the Hospedería del Silencio, its food, the landscapes that welcome us, invite you to rest. Nothing to do. And it is here that beauty is revealed, allowing us to abandon ourselves to the game of life.

From the integration of Iyengar Yoga, hatha Yoga, dance and traditional Kashmiri Tantra. A contemporary look using Coaching tools, visualizations and personal leadership for self discovery.

The goal: there is no goal. You can drop down as you feel and are, in a safe and careful space. The purpose is simply to observe you.

From the touch and based on the art of Ayurvedic massage in India, we will travel the landscapes of the body, our own and others, through the hands and the internal gaze.

A week aimed at Yoga practitioners and teachers, dancers, therapists, body professionals, and for anyone interested in a week of self-exploration in the Sierra de Gredos.

What is traditional Kashmiri tantra or non-dualism?

Shivaita Tantra has a very broad connotation regarding its meaning. With the word Tantra, a very particular conception of one’s own reality is detailed and exposes a particular way of observing the world and living in it.

It presents a series of values that are both ethically “good” and, on the other hand, favor the joy and satisfaction of the human being and the individual.

The tantric system is so deep and understandable that no aspect of life remains un-contemplated. Tantrika wisdom forms the basis of a happy and healthy life for both the individual and society. Tantra shows us how to accept such reality and to use its mundane aspects so that they themselves become doors for self-discovery and self-realization.

It presents an integral world view where diversion (bhoga) and liberation (moksa) are synthesized as well as meddling in mundane activities (pravritti) and renunciation (nivritti). Advocates a positive Yoga that embraces and makes everything sacred and good

Pablo Ferrero

Pablo om ji yoga iyengar españa

I started practicing yoga at 16 years old. From my early childhood I was already exploring with my voice and different musical instruments. He dreamed of traveling and traveling the world. I have done so …

Yogi, manual therapist, musician and adventure travel guide …

The Om symbol appeared in my path, then the word yoga… At a time when information was not so easy for me, I started looking through an encyclopedia that my mother had recently bought for me. Philosophy was my gateway to yoga. I believe that yoga came to support me in one of the hardest times of my life, those times when it seems that the whole world is on fire, that everything is falling apart. Yoga, music and singing have always been my eternal companions in life, managing to sustain me in all stages of my life.

I have been trained in different schools and with different teachers. Amit Raina and Lina Ma (Kashmir Shaivism School of Yoga), Rajiv and Swati Chanchani (Yog Ganga for Yoga Studies), the Iyengar family (Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute, Pune) Bihar School of Yoga and with Christian Pisano at the Yoga Institute Iyengar from Nice, France.

I am grateful to all my teachers who taught me that I myself am my own teacher.

About me…

I was born in a family on the outskirts of Madrid and my impulse to break with the conditions in which I had been raised more by parents who first of all gave me understanding and support to explore myself and have the freedom that they could not enjoy, pushed me to travel the world.

As a teenager I traveled extensively in the Balkans, the Middle East, Europe and North Africa. Soaking up the culture and traditions of these countries.

After finishing my degree in communication and journalism and a short period as a journalist, I packed my bags and embarked on a journey that lasted 8 years.

I lived between India, Canada and Europe, I traveled extensively in Asia and Latin America. I had meetings with teachers of Yoga, Tai Chi, Ayurveda, Traditional Indian Music, Feldenkreis, sound therapy and Shamans.

While traveling I began to teach yoga and personal development classes, workshops and retreats and I combined it with my work as an adventure travel guide in Spain, Portugal, India, Peru and Switzerland among other places.

Currently I direct Matrika Yoga and Personal Development in the Sierra de Madrid.

I collaborate for different public and private institutions bringing yoga, meditation and emotional education in educational settings and organizations.

“Chef of Sounds and Alchemist of Food”.

Since I was little I have been passionate about the great hidden mysteries of life …

At the age of 20, after training as a chef, I decided to move to Ibiza where I began to work in the kitchens of Retreat Centers for personal growth; Yoga, meditation, shamanism, emotional intelligence, Taoism, expressive movement …

Throughout this period of time I learn to accompany and sustain the internal processes of the people who attend, as well as taking care of their Food and Nutrition of Life. Macrobiotic, Ayurveda, Alkaline Food, Detox, Raw Food …

These are some of the techniques that I was experimenting with, finally specializing in “Energy Nutrition” based mainly on the 5 Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
