Yogic Ayurvedic Massage
Relaxing and therapeutic massage
ABOUT THIS MASSAGE
The word ayurveda comes from Sanskrit and literally means ayur “life” and veda “science or knowledge”. When we speak of Ayurveda we are talking about something as complex and mysterious as the science of life. Ayurveda deals with all facets of life and one very important is precisely Ayurvedic massage.
This science with more than 5000 years old defends that there are three elements (doshas) of which a being is composed: Vata (air), pitta (fire) and kapha (earth).
In turn, these elements are to a different extent in each individual, making each of us a unique person and at the same time common within human beings. This helps the therapist design a personalized treatment for each individual.
Life is short, live passionately.
– Marc A. Pitman
Originated in Pune by the teacher Kusum Modak, a direct student of the master BKS Iyengar and had a great knowledge in Ayurveda.
It is a type of massage that can be from a therapeutic massage to a relaxing, detoxifying and rejuvenating massage. It is a strong but gentle massage on the entire body in which rubs are combined with yogic stretching depending on the patient.
Calamus (sweet flag) sesame oil and powder are used. It is done with the hands mainly being able to use the feet depending on the patient.
Calamus powder is a powerful detoxifier, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and exfoliant. It helps remove the deep toxins found in the lymph and muscles.
The Yogic Ayurvedic Massage allows whoever receives it to correct the energy imbalance and the day-to-day discomforts. It is a massage that revitalizes and makes energy flow freely through each and every molecule in our body.
Unlike conventional Ayurvedic massages, Yogic is a more therapeutic work that combines the art of yoga and Thai massage to do much deeper work.
A necessary gift that we should allow ourselves more frequently, since it is through interaction with others that we learn the most from ourselves. It allows you to get out of the routine, sometimes suffocating and monotonous. For me it was a trip to the interior, to observe and recognize my "here and now" and thus continue with more clarity and strength. It was an encounter from naturalness, sharing in a group focus on life, experiences and experiences-learning; without fear of vulnerability. To repeat, without a doubt.
A luxury, being able to enjoy yoga classes in the Sierra Oeste.
Where the attention to detail, sensitivity, and personalization of yoga practice takes center stage.
Where the gaze is directed inside us.
I loved the course of Pranayama Breathing and Heart Opening in Madrid, Pablo, a great professional who accompanies you with his naturalness towards the connection with the Consciousness of being. Thank you very much Pablo !!
I’m in Barcelona for 2 months and I have had the priviliege to have some private classes with Pablo (some others were not but still the same attention). How lucky am. I felt like I improved a lot and I already miss this even if I know I will get back to his classes, such an addiction. Thank you very much!
A detailed and profound vision of yoga, beyond the physical conception. Pablo is the perfect guide on the path of self-discovery, he pushes your limits, you end up discovering that you are capable of getting where you did not believe, an effect that crosses the frontier of practice into everyday life. Thanks teacher !!
I take south with very special people at heart. I arrived with absolutely no expectations and it was better than I had been able to project.
Wonderful experience of attending yoga classes with Pablo. The excellent teacher, the unbeatable atmosphere. A magical space to recover body and spirit from the stresses of life. Very, highly recommended
