Jose Manuel Vasquez began practicing yoga on his first trip to India in 2007. There he met Usha Devi (Rishikesh), his first teacher of the Iyengar tradition.
He is a regular and direct student of Zubin Zarthoshtimanesh (MumbAy). As well as Rajiv and Swati Chanchani(Rajpur) annually studies at RIMYI to date.
Jose spends periods in India of 5-6 months or more, per year, for more than 13 years, where he spends time studying with his teachers, close to them.
Half of the year Jose studies in India and the other half is devoted to personal practice as well as teaching.
He teaches classes at YOGASHALA art-consciousness (Durango).
As well as giving workshops around the republic and has taught classes and workshops in India, Japan, China, etc.
He is a regular practitioner rather than a teacher, he considers himself a practitioner.
Believe that the classes teach you but through practice is when we can understand the true meaning of Yoga.
Daily life and yoga go hand in hand.
His classes are dynamic and demanding, with the precision, alignment and fundamentals of Iyengar Yoga.
The focus on precision makes the mind more alert while connecting the body and breath, generating intelligence in all aspects.
His idea is that when the body generates intelligence, the mind can transcend.
When Asana is practiced with intelligence, with an active, receptive and alert body in conjunction with the breath; the mind begins to generate positive changes, not only in the body but in an integral way.
