The Wisdom of the hands ...

The word ayurveda comes from Sanskrit and literally means ayur “life” and veda “science or knowledge”. When we speak of Ayurveda we are talking about something as complex and mysterious as the science of life.

In turn, these elements are to a different extent in each individual, making each of us a unique person and at the same time common within human beings. This helps the therapist design a personalized treatment for each individual.

Originated in Pune by the teacher Kusum Modak, a direct student of the master BKS Iyengar and had a great knowledge in Ayurveda.

It is a type of massage that can be from a therapeutic massage to a relaxing, detoxifying and rejuvenating massage. It is a strong but gentle massage on the entire body in which rubs are combined with yogic stretching depending on the patient.

Calamus (sweet flag) sesame oil and powder are used. It is done with the hands mainly being able to use the feet depending on the patient.
